NATIONAL SPORTING CLAYS ASSOCIATION As of October 1st there were slightly more than 16,000 members. Targets totals will be over 12 million. Increase of 10% and 15%, respectively over 2000. As a result of the terrorist attack on September 11th, the National Sporting Clays Championships were postponed and rescheduled to start the Tuesday after the World Skeet Shoot. Of the approximately 1,300 shooters that were originally pre-registered, only about 300 have cancelled. The classification system where a shooter has to win his/her way out of class continues to be very successful.
