Vance E. Wise

HUDSON - Vance E. Wise age 63, of Hudson, passed away suddenly Saturday evening, Oct. 29, 2005 at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian after being stricken at home. He was born Oct. 5, 1942, in Miamisburg, Ohio, the son of Lawrence and Marjorie (Thomas) Wise. He lived near Hudson the past 11 years, coming from Ohio. He was a graduate of Waynesdale High School in Ft. Wayne, Ind., and attended trade schools. He married the former Sherry L. Thatcher on July 28, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nev., and she survives. Vance spent his life as a building contractor. He was a member of the Addison Lodge #157, F. & A.M., was a member of the Amateur Trapshooters Association, a member of the Michigan Trapshooters Association where he served on the Board of Directors and was a past president. He enjoyed horse breeding and training. Surviving besides his wife Sherry are his children, Jennifer Frederick of Ft. Wayne, Ryan (Andrea) Wise of Toledo, Ohio and Daniel Wise of Jonesville, Mich.; two step-daughters, Cory (Jason) Proffitt of Adrian and Lynzie Wise of Hudson; four grandchildren, Kyle and Allison Frederick, Kira Proffitt and Mason Wise; two brothers, Wendell (Barbara) Wise and John (Nancy) Wise, both of Ft. Wayne; two sisters, Weltha (Milford) Smith of Oneida, Tenn. and Virginia (Dick) Sauer of Ft. Wayne, and by his father- and mother-in law, Lynn and Marilyn Thatcher of Temperance.
